At Southwest Neurosurgical Associates, our goal is to address whatever neurosurgical problem you might have with compassion, efficiency, and state-of-the-art care.

In most cases, your doctor has asked us to see you to render a surgical opinion about a neurological disorder affecting either the brain or spine. In some cases our recommendation may be either a conventional surgical procedure or in the case of some brain disorders, a non-surgical procedure called Gamma Knife radiosurgery. In other cases, we may recommend that non-surgical management or simple observation is the best course of action.

Procedures we perform include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Anterior cervical discectomy with fusion
  • Cervical disc replacement (Prodisc-C)
  • Craniotomy
  • Deep brain stimulation
  • Gamma Knife radiosurgery
  • Lumbar decompression
  • Lumbar fusion
  • Microdecompression (tubular retractor)
  • Microdiscectomy
  • Minimally invasive fusions including XLIF, TLIF, ILIF
  • Posterior cervical fusion
  • Stereotactic biopsy
  • Trans-sphenoidal resection of pituitary adenoma
  • Ventriculoperitoneal shunt

Patient Education information on these disorders and procedures can be found by viewing our patient education animations. Additional information can also be found at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons website and the Spine Universe website.
